Women's Self-Defence (One day workshop)

Day: Saturday 18 July

Time: 12pm - 3pm

Location: Poneke Dojo (IKO Kyokushin), Prince of Wales Park (south-end car park), Salisbury Terrace, Mount Cook, Wellington.

Cost: $50 payable at time of booking. Fees cover rental of the space and gear. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch with us.

Step into a safe, empowering space where women and gender-diverse participants can learn practical, effective self-defence skills in just one day. This inclusive workshop is designed for all fitness levels and experience, focusing on simple, adaptable techniques to help you protect yourself, set boundaries, and move through the world with greater confidence.

Through hands-on practice, you’ll gain tools for situational awareness, verbal assertiveness, and physical defence — all taught in a supportive, fun and respectful environment.

Please note: If you have experienced trauma or you feel you may be triggered by some of the material covered, we would recommend you first try our "Women's Self-Defence Term". Alternatively, we encourage you to let the facilitator know before the workshop so we can ensure your comfort and support throughout the day.
