Our annual movie fundraiser has become a bit of a tradition for WWHC, and we’re thrilled to be hosting a screening of Pike River this year.

Please join us at Light House Cuba on Tuesday November 11th. Doors open at 5.30pm for a 6pm screening, and tickets start at $25 with an option to donate more to support our services.

Bring your skills and experience to help a vital service for Wellington women.


We’re seeking skilled and dedicated volunteer governance members for our Committee, which is responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth and effective management of the organisation.   

We are specifically looking for women with experience in the following areas, who want to volunteer their skills to benefit make a lasting impact to wāhine in Wellington: 

  • Secretarial and Committee administration (e.g. agenda preparation). 

  • Networking, fundraising and event organising. 

  • Legal. 

  • Human resources. 

  • Mental health and counselling. 

Time commitment: Approx. 4–6 hours/month. 
Location: Wellington

We’re partnering with Psychiatrist Dr Amy Leung to offer a 4-week workshop on the Realisation Process. This workshop involves a range of practices to:

  • Deepen and stabilise the link between your body and your environment.

  • Use movement meditations to feel more embodied.

  • Release psychological holding patterns personal for personal healing

  • Explore relational healing and attuning to fundamental consciousness with others.

Spaces are limited, so be in quick.

Join the Wellington Women's Health Collective and be part of a community dedicated to empowering and supporting women.

As a member, you help us provide affordable counselling and workshops to low-income women in Wellington. Annual membership costs $25 waged and $10 unwaged, and is open to anyone who believes in our kaupapa.

Our counselling appointments are now full for 2025 and new clients are being waitlisted for 2026. Our offices will be closed from Christmas eve until the week following Wellington Anniversary Weekend (reopening on 21 January 2026).

We are a charity entirely funded by donations and grants, and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of those who support our work. Every donation helps ensure Wellington wāhine and non-binary people have access to essential mental health services.

Please consider setting up a regular donation to our kaupapa. Your support helps us provide a safe, welcoming space where people can receive the care they need.
